#118 – West Side Deli
365 Reasons to Live in Sedona

Greetings from Rob & Pam Schabatka – Broker/Owners of REMAX Sedona

Although Sedona is filled with great places to eat lunch, one place in particular stands out to us: the West Side Deli. We devour the scrumptious sandwiches at least once a week, not because our REMAX Sedona Real Estate office is located in the same plaza but because the West Side Deli team takes pride in making great food.

For a restaurant that opened in early 2012, we know that the loyal customer base of the West Side Deli is thriving. From the moment you walk in the door, the smell of home-roasted and sliced meats, homemade soups, pasta salad & more entices you to try something new.

We recommend trying every type of sandwich, since that is our goal. But we highly encourage you to try our favorite, the “Ol’ Blue Eyes“. If you’d like, give us a call at 928.282.4166×253 and we’ll walk across the parking lot to have lunch with you at the West Side Deli and chat about the Sedona Real Estate Market.

If you are not ready to share a meal with us, you can search for Sedona Property for Sale, hassle-free on our website,http://SedonaProperty.net.  In time, we hope you trust us to help you make the best Sedona Real Estate Investment for your personal situation. Contact us via email, Facebook, Google+, Twitter or phone at 928.282.4166×253 or 928.821.3508. We look forward to answering all your questions.

If you have ever been to Sedona, you know how lucky we are with Red Rock Views throughout the town. With money being tight for many people, numerous families are forced to stay close to home for vacation. As a result, the term “Stay-cation” has become very popular. Luckily for us, the Enchantment Resort is a great option for us in Sedona and is surrounded by some of the best Red Rock Vistas in town at the mouth of Boynton Canyon.

The Enchantment Resort is located in West Sedona (map) and is about to finish up on a two year, $25 million renovation project. The recent press article mentioned that all of the 218 casita-style guestrooms benefited from the remodel. The project opened up more meeting space and doubled the size of the pool.

In addition to all of the improvements, the resort boasts the award winning – Mi Amo Spa. Services include everything from meals prepared in the Mi Amo Cafe to Native American inspired full-service spa treatments to indoor and outdoor pools with breathtaking red rock views. This resort really should be added to everyone’s bucket list!

#116 – Sedona Cares Fire Fundraiser
365 Reasons to Live in Sedona

Approximately a month ago, May 25th, three families in the Village of Oak Creek (Sedona, AZ) lost their homes to a devastating fire. Most of the damage occurred when a propane tank exploded and flames almost immediately spread to the surrounding homes. The local fire department responded quickly, but unfortunately they weren’t able to save any of the homes.

The families lost virtually everything, even their pets. The silver lining to the story is the community’s willingness to step up and help in a time of need. Over the next few weeks, volunteers and generous people donated time, goods and money to help the families start to rebuild. One of the culminating events took place on June 19th — Sedona Cares Fire Fundraiser.

We were fortunate enough to attend this wonderful event. After a long day of fund raising at the Factory Outlets in the VOC, a primetime performance was held in the Canyon Moon Theater. Many of the local, and extremely talented, musicians and performers took the stage to help the families raise money and to help take their minds off of their recovery efforts for at least one evening.

Living in Sedona for many years, we still seem to be amazed when the community bands together to help others in need. Whether it was Believe in Ashley or any of the other numerous supporting events, Sedona seems to come together to help their own. Of all the reasons we have listed to live in Sedona so far, the strong sense of compassion and cohesiveness make this area more livable than any of the spectacular vistas and other attractions. We are proud to be Sedona residents!
