#80 – Sedona Housing “Fore” Heroes Chip In
365 Reasons to Live in Sedona

Greetings from Rob & Pam Schabatka – Broker/Owners of RE/MAX Sedona

Here in Sedona we honor our veterans. This year we recommend celebrating in the Village of Oak Creek by attending the first annual Veteran’s Day Golf Tournament at Oak Creek Country Club.

Event Details

Tomorrow on November 11th the Country Club will host a golf tournament for all. Starting with a bang, and a helicopter ball drop, the tournament will begin at 12:30.

Tickets are only $50 to watch the tournament and enjoy the after party. Eat your dinner as the sun sets on the beautiful red rocks while listening to the live music of Sammy Davis. Then don’t forget to stop by the silent auction.

The Housing “Fore” Heroes Chip In is an event that will raise money for our local veterans.

One reason we choose to live in Sedona is the profound amount of charity events hosted by local organizations and businesses. Are you interested in moving to Sedona? Here is a list of Luxury Sedona Homes for Sale in the Village of Oak Creek & Luxury Homes for Sale in Sedona.

#56 – Pick Your Pumpkin in Sedona AZ
365 Reasons to Live in Sedona

Greetings from Rob & Pam Schabatka – Broker/Owners of REMAX SedonaSedona Pumpkin Patch

With Halloween just around the corner Sedona’s mild fall temperatures make it easy to get in the mood for one of our favorite holidays. A large part of our family’s tradition has been to go to the Sedona United Methodist Church located at the Back-O-Beyond roundabout on State Route 179 to pick a pumpkin to take home and turn it into a spooky jack-o-lantern. The pumpkin patch is open daily from 12-6pm starting on the 15th of October and open through Halloween.

If you want a more unique pumpkin picking experience the Sedona Community Pool has recently started their own festive event. It entails encouraging residents to take a dive to retrieve their ‘orange gourd’. This event takes place on October 20 from 1-3pm for a small fee of $3 and is located at 570 Posse Ground Road.

If you enjoy Halloween as much as we do post a picture of your pumpkin carving skills to our Facebook Page.

With many of you coming from parts of the country that are already colder than you would like, the thought of putting on a swimming suit and diving into a pool this close to Halloween may be a fantasy. For us here in the desert southwest, we are fortunate enough to have days during the fall where the sun is out, the skies are clear and a (heated) swimming pool is still an option.

Are you dreading a brisk fall and inevitable winter? Now may be the perfect time to find a piece of Sedona Real Estate in the warmer southwest. Click here for a list of Sedona Homes for Sale or Sedona Vacant Land Available. You can always contact us with any questions at 928-821-3508 or at our RE/MAX Sedona Office at 928-282-4166 ext 253.

Curious why Sedona has been nominated so many times for being in the Top 10 Most Beautiful Places to Live? The Red Rock Formations may have something to do with it but the fact that every season in Sedona is equally magnificent is why people just can’t stay away.

In the winter you see the towering Red Rocks dusted with snow and glistening in the sunlight. The spring brings life to all of the desert landscaping and the weather warms into the 80s. Summer monsoons in the late afternoons make it impossible not to appreciate Sedona’s natural beauty with rays of sunshine streaming down through parting clouds. Although all the seasons have beautiful weather and scenery, Fall is when you truly realize just how extraordinary living in Sedona is. By October, the extreme heat of the summer has passed and residents enjoy wonderful days filled with Sedona blue skies and perfect 75-90 degree weather.Fall Leaves in Oak Creek Canyon
