#45 – Verde Valley Rivalry
365 Reasons to Live in Sedona
October 7, 2011 12:00 pm
Greetings from Rob & Pam Schabatka – Broker/Owners of RE/MAX Sedona…
Yesterday afternoon the Sedona Community Pool was filled with students, parents, and community members in support of the Sedona Red Rock High School Swim Team as they gathered for their last meet of the season. As you walked through the parking lot you heard not only one team from the Verde Valley, but two teams chanting for their school. The Mingus Union High School Marauders from Cottonwood AZ came on Sedona territory with hopes of going home as champions of the “Sedona-Mingus Cup”.
Here in Sedona, students are brought together through healthy competition and so is the community. The community support that Sedona has for its local high school is terrific and definitely a reason to live in Sedona. Residents get involved to be a part of the culture as they cheer on the high school teams. Even if they do not have their own student at SRRHS, residents still make attending Scorpion Sporting events a priority.
