#52 – Red Mud Run
365 Reasons to Live in Sedona
October 13, 2011 12:00 pm
Greetings from Rob & Pam Schabatka – Broker/Owners of REMAX Sedona…
Sedona is universally known for its Red Rocks. Many tourists come to town looking for souvenirs that capture the red rock theme. One item that symbolizes Sedona’s landscape is the “Red Rock Dirt Shirt”. This year we have a new way to create your very own Sedona dirt shirt.
The 1st annual Red Mud Run symbolizes the Sedona outdoor lifestyle by having contestants race through the Red Rock trails. Participants are required to overcome six obstacles including a 2-foot deep mud pit before they finish the 2½ mile course. If this type of event does not sound appealing to you, you may still want to attend in order to cheer on friends and family that find joy in competition. We have been told mud runs such as this attract large crowds simply to laugh at participants frolicking through the mud; this will be a Sedona event you won’t want to miss.
Event Details
The Red Mud Run will be held October 16th at 10:00am at Posse Grounds Park (525 Posse Ground Road). To enter the race please call 928-282-7098: $50 per adult, $15 per child. Cheerleaders (bystanders) are encouraged to attend free of charge.
