365 Reasons to Live in Sedona
October 29, 2011 12:00 pm
Greetings from Rob & Pam Schabatka – Broker/Owners of REMAX Sedona…
Hollywood watch out for the Verde Valley! (not literally) For those of you who don’t know, the town of Camp Verde was used to film the 1977 horror film, Kingdom of the Spiders. William Shatner and the cast of the movie invaded Camp Verde soil to produce one of the best worst movies.
Although the movie is not an award winner, the town of Camp Verde has begun re-living their five minutes of fame. October 29th will be the second annual Kingdom of the Spiders Reunion. Last year there were over 700 people that celebrated with dozens of residents that acted in the movie as extras.
Event Details
The reunion includes a museum of Kingdom memorabilia, a collection of live spiders, and a showing of the movie on a large screen behind the Camp Verde Town Hall. This event is free, please bring your own snacks and lawn chairs or blankets. If you grew up in Camp Verde in the late 70s come prepared to see fellow residents on the big screen!
- October 29th
- Festivites begin at 3:00pm
- Movie plays on the big screen at 6:30
