#79 – Sedona Winter Weather
365 Reasons to Live in Sedona
November 9, 2011 12:00 pm
Greetings from Rob & Pam Schabatka – Broker/Owners of REMAX Sedona…
Red rock formations dusted with glistening snow, a sight that you won’t soon forget. The climate in Sedona is nearly perfect. Our summers are hot but not unbearable and our winters are cool but not cold. You can expect to wear a light jacket most days with the occasional chilly days that require a heavier coat. During the summer months you can anticipate to see snow only a handful of times. When Sedona does get a snow storm the results typically melt by noon the next day, allowing Sedona-ians to go about their business without interruption.
Coming from Flagstaff and colder climates, winter in Sedona is the perfect mixture of fall-like days with the occasional snow to give it the holiday feel. Winter wonderland? No, but definitely a photographers paradise. The photograph below is taken in the Las Piedras Subdivision in the Village of Oak Creek.
