#12 – Float the Verde River
365 Reasons to Live in Sedona AZ
September 4, 2011 12:00 pm
Greetings from Rob & Pam Schabatka – Broker/Owners of RE/MAX Sedona…
Can you think of a better way to relax away from work on this Labor Day than to soak up the Sedona sun and float the Verde River?
How to Get There
You can call 1.877.673.3661 to get details on reservations and where to meet the day of your “Sedona Adventure” or make your way to the Reservations Office of Sedona Adventure Tours & Verde River Rafting that is located at 65 Friendship Way.
How Much Does it Costs?
Rafting or floating the Verde River costs approx. $25 cash when you arrive at the River plus additional expenses for tube, lifejacket and other rentals and shuttle rides. For more information visit Sedona Adventure Tours Website.
Floating the Verde River is a “Must-Do Sedona Experience” and we encourage you to do it at least once in your life. You can float the river seven days a week all summer, beginning on Memorial Day and ending on Labor Day.
Take our advice to have a relaxing day in the sun!
- Don’t forget to bring: Several bottles of water, a packed lunch and snacks to keep your energy up; sunscreen, hat, towel/sheet to cover the hot tube, shorts, shirt and water shoes.
- Applying sunscreen once before you go is not enough for the Sedona sun, apply sunscreen several times throughout the day.
- Bring a cooler to keep drinks cold. Remember that even though you are playing in the water, you will get dehydrated if you do not continue to drink water and other beverages.
- Flip flops typically get left behind on the adventure so bring a pair of old sneakers or water shoes.
Your last chance for 2011 is tomorrow! Are you up for the adventure?
