365 Reasons to Live in Sedona

Greetings from Sedona Property Partners – Broker/Owners of REMAX Sedona
We love relaxing after a long week at work, don’t you? Often times our kid’s friends will tell us about their recent trip to Colorado to visit the natural hot springs. We are sure to let them know that one of the reasons to live in Sedona is that we don’t have to take a lengthy trip to Colorado or other places to visit hot springs. We have our own – Right here in the Verde Valley!
We love going out to the Verde Hot Springs to relax in nature’s natural hot tub! Sedona is located only 56 miles from the Verde Hot Springs. Living in Sedona allows us to take an afternoon trip to the springs rather than having to drive all day to visit Colorado’s.
As you are driving to the Verde Hot Springs, visit the remains of an old resort that burned down several years ago. This resort had cemented in the hot springs, causing them to be almost like an actual hot tub, rather than just a hole in the ground. They created three of these pools which Sedona-Verde Valley Residents use whenever it feels right!
There are three different tubs, all at a different degree. There is a hot spring that is about two feet in depth, surrounded by brick walls that allow the hot spring to be enclosed into the darkness. We find it very relaxing to soak in this spring. Then, there is a spring that is not as hot as the first one, and located outside, as if it was actually a hole in the ground. This spring is very deep and the water is nice to just hang out with the family or friends. The last hot spring is located inside of a cave, so we don’t go in there very often…..scarrrry! But many others do!
The location the the Verde Hot Springs is very private, only Sedona-Verde Valley locals know about them. This is another reason we love living in Sedona – as locals, we learn about all of the secret spots! The Verde Hot Springs are clear out into the desert where you have to hike for about an hour before reaching the sidewalk to take you to them. Many of our friends get there right before dark so that they can have some time to find the hot springs in the light and set up camp, then enjoy the peacefulness of the darkness.
Living in a tourist town makes it important to have all of the little secret hidden treasures. This is why we love living in Sedona, there are a lot of spots that tourists don’t know about, but are open to the locals!
