365 Reasons to Live in Sedona

Greetings from Sedona Property Partners – Broker/Owners of REMAX Sedona
If you love listening to live bluegrass music while being surrounded by red rocks, then Sedona was the place for you to be this last weekend! Sedona hosted the seventh annual Sedona Bluegrass Festival this weekend at Los Abrigados Resort and Spa. Not much can be better than sitting by the Oak Creek listening to a Bluegrass concert.
Sedona is known for the majestic beauty that the red rocks bring. But on a weekend like this, the entire atmosphere of Sedona changes. Everything just becomes more real, down to earth and peaceful. The annual Bluegrass Festival has been held at the bank of the Oak Creek, rain or shine! The festival this year had several guest performances starting at 12 o’clock noon and ending in the evening at 6:30pm, all being led by the head show of the David Grisman FolkJass Trio. They are said to be “bringing a fresh view of American Folk tunes and more”.
There were seven different groups playing at the festival total. Each of the shows were very unique. In the same way that every artist paints with their own style, each musician at the festival played songs and added their own very unique style to it. Some of the performers included Muskellunge, Sonoran Dogs, Titan Valley Warheads, Brunett Family Bluegrass, Pick and Hollor, and the Matt Flonner Trio. The entire weekend turned out perfect, maybe year #7 is the charm! Escaping the heat, in the shade under the trees by the creek-side was our favorite part!
The next Bluegrass concert in Sedona is not until November 10th. So if you missed out on this last one, don’t miss the next one!
