The fall is a particularly rich time of the year for food and wine events. One of our favorites is “Taste of the Verde Valley” otherwise known as “Verde Valley Wine Harvest Festival”.

Held annually at the Stargazer Pavilion at Cliff Castle Casino in Camp Verde, this event draws a crowd. The acclaimed Verde Valley Wine Consortium includes more vineyards and wineries every year, as the industry grows and more delicious wines are blended and bottled. Wineries represented include: Arizona Stronghold, Alcantara Vineyards, Caduceus Winery, Cellar Dwellers Wines, Dionysian Cellars, Fire Mountain Wines, Oak Creek Vineyards, Pillsbury Wine Company, Javelina Leap Vineyard, Page Springs Cellars, and Freitas Vineyard.

In addition to the wine, specialty culinary delights are prepared to perfectly pair with the wines. Held The $20 entrance fee includes 5 wine or food tastings, a complimentary wine glass and a $10 Casino Playcheck. This year’s entertainment features Gabriel Ayala, along with a cultural display from the Yavapai Apache Nation. Be sure to put November 2nd from 1-5 pm on your calendar!
