Who says you have to be in Germany to celebrate Oktoberfest? Sedona’s version of the festival could go drink for drink with the original, albeit only lasting one evening. Red Rock Oktoberfest will be celebrated October 25 from 5 -9 pm creekside at Los Abrigados Resort and Spa, under huge Sycamore trees! The entrance fee of $25 includes an authentic Oktoberfest half liter mug and one beer of your choice, additional beer can be purchased for $5!

Local Brewers add Sedona Flare

There will be 10 local Arizonian brewers present at this years event all including San Tan Brewing (Chandler), Four Peaks Brewing (Tempe), Mother Road Brewery (Flagstaff) Lumberyard Brewery (Flagstaff), Historic Brewing (Flagstaff),Granite Mountain Brewing (Prescott), Prescott Brewing Company (duh, Prescott), Grand Canyon Brewery (Williams), THAT Brewery (Cottonwood), Oak Creek Brewery (Sedona) – and sole wine purveyor – Sedona Golf Resort. Make sure to drink plenty of good local beer and be merry!

They will also have authentic German food available which includes Kartoffelnsalat (potato salad), cucumber salad, Bratwurst (roasted sausage) with Sauerkraut, Bratwurst burger, a smoked pork chop plate, potato pancakes, German style pretzels with mustard or cheese and, if you still have room for dessert, a traditional Apfelstrudel (a delicious layered pastry filled with apple slices, raisins, sugar and cinnamon). Whew! What a menu!

Parking

There won’t be any parking available at Los Abrigados Resort and Spa until after 5pm, even so – space is limited. It is encouraged to walk, ride a bike, carpool, or take a taxi. Volunteers will be festive in their lederhosen, German costumes, beer in hand, and authentic German food circulating. It will be a sight to see and experience you won’t soon forget!
