#58 – The Oak Creek Band
365 Reasons to Live in Sedona
October 19, 2011 12:00 pm
Greetings from Rob & Pam Schabatka – Broker/Owners of REMAX Sedona…
Music is a large part of the Sedona community with constant live music in Sedona at the Sedona Chamber Music venues as well as in 5-star restaurants, courtyards in Uptown, the Marketplace Café. If you are looking for a small-town that has local talent beyond their years, look no further than Sedona and the Verde Valley.
Sedona’s diverse music scene is supplemented by national artists that began their careers in Sedona AZ, who show continual love for where they came from. One group that continues to show Sedona pride is the Oak Creek Band.
The Oak Creek Band consists of six Sedona natives, four of which graduated from Sedona Red Rock High School (SRRHS). They toured this summer beginning in Lake Tahoe onto San Francisco where they opened for Michelle Branch (another Sedona native), continued to San Luis Obispo, L.A., and San Diego. The group ended the tour in their hometown at the SRRHS Performing Arts Center.
We would like to encourage our readers to enjoy dinner at the Marketplace Café tomorrow night and raise a glass to the Oak Creek Band. If you are interested in future gigs you can click here to check out the Oak Creek Band’s Website.
Event Details
The Marketplace Café is located in the Village of Oak Creek at 6645 S State Route 179 in the Oak Creek Factory Outlet Mall. The band begins their performance at 6pm.
