365 Reasons to Live in Sedona

Thanksgiving Dinner at
Sedona Restaurants

One of the best reasons to live in Sedona revolves around our great weather. It looks like this year’s Thanksgiving forecast will be no different. If you are looking for something a little different for this year’s Thanksgiving feast, and you don’t have the energy or the need to cook a big meal, consider dining at a local restaurant then enjoy dessert on your back patio as the sun sets on the red rocks.

Sedona restaurants do a great job during the holidays to offer great cuisine without the hassle of shopping for and cleaning up after. Click for three of our Favorite Sedona Restaurants and their plans for Thursday.

Changing of the Leaves

Curious why Sedona has been nominated so many times for being in the Top 10 Most Beautiful Places to Live? The Red Rock Formations may have something to do with it, but the fact that every season in Sedona is equally magnificent is why people just can’t stay away.

Although all the seasons have beautiful weather and scenery, Fall is when you truly realize just how extraordinary living in Sedona is. By October & November, the extreme heat of the summer has passed and residents enjoy wonderful days filled with Sedona blue skies and perfect weather around 75 degrees.

Buyer & Seller Tips of the Month

Buyers

Typically owning your own home allows for tax advantages in regards to mortgage interest. Consulting your accountant will allow you to understand exactly how those advantages may help you.

One thing is for certain the longer you own your home the more deductions you may be entitled to. With interest rates so low and rental pricing increasing why would you continue to avoid purchasing when all signs point to great values, low rates and additional tax advantages available.

If you are interested in buying a Sedona Property please contact us at 928-821-3508.

Sellers

We understand the difficulty of deciding which home improvements are necessary to attract future buyers and which improvements are simply money down the drain.

One quick improvement we feel that adds instant points to your curb appeal is a fresh coat of exterior paint.

For a small investment in supplies and labor your Sedona home can look more vibrant and stand out compared to its surrounding neighbors. If you don't have the time or equipment to paint yourself, give Rob a call at 928-821-3508 for a recommendation of a professional & affordable painter.

An Update from your Local Lender

Fall is here and so are our interest rates. We have seen our interest rates decline in the past couple of months to historic lows. Better rates means a reduction in price to borrow money. Maybe the house that was just out of reach can be yours because of lower interest rates. Now is the time to speak with a Mortgage Professional.

Loans are not as tricky as you may have heard. When applying for a loan your Mortgage Professional will ask three basic questions:

  1. How do you receive income? (What do you do for a living?)
  2. How much do you have for your down payment?
  3. What is your credit score?

Having some answers to these three questions will help your Mortgage Professional understand what information that he/she may need to collect from you. If you do not know your credit score your Mortgage Professional will be happy help you find out. Credit scores above 640 generally are viewed as acceptable credit.

Gearing up to purchase a house takes time and research. Learning as much as you can is a great way to stay informed when thinking about your next purchase. If you would like to research Mortgage products online a great resource is www.HUD.gov, or call or email a Mortgage Professional you trust.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Burgueno
